Nisalume started with a problem that a lot of people have but few talk about: the slow, creeping cost of spending your life on a screen.

Not the dramatic stuff — not eye surgery, not clinical diagnosis. Just the slow accumulation of tired eyes by 2pm, the headache that comes from nowhere on a Tuesday, the way you fall into bed exhausted but cannot actually switch off. The feeling of being drained in a way that sleep does not fully fix.

A Habit That Became a Business

The people behind Nisalume spent years in the kind of jobs where screens are unavoidable — the kind where you look up at 6pm and realise your eyes feel like they have been open for three days straight. They tried the usual advice: take breaks, use night mode, sit further from the monitor. None of it moved the needle in any real way.

What did help was filtering the light itself. Wearing a pair of properly coated glasses throughout the day — not for night use, not tinted yellow, just a clean anti-HEV coating on a regular lens — made a noticeable difference. Less fatigue. Better focus. And, eventually, better sleep.

The problem was that everything on the market either looked clinical and awkward, or was priced in a way that felt absurd for a pair of everyday glasses. Neither of those things made sense.

The Brief Was Simple

Make blue light glasses that actually look good. Price them honestly. Back them with real lens technology, not marketing claims. And build a brand that feels like it belongs in your life — not in a medical supply catalogue.

That was the brief. Nisalume is the answer to it.

What We Believe

We believe that wellness does not have to look clinical. It does not have to cost a fortune. And it does not have to mean disrupting the way you live — it should fit into the way you already live, just with a little more intention behind it.

Blue light is a real, documented issue. Screens are not going anywhere. Protecting your eyes — and by extension, your sleep, your energy, and your focus — is one of the most practical habits you can build. We want to make that habit as easy as possible to start and as easy as possible to maintain.

The Glasses

Every Nisalume frame is built on TR90 — a lightweight, flexible material used across quality eyewear worldwide. The lenses carry an anti-HEV coating that filters the 380–500nm wavelength range, paired with UV400 protection, anti-reflective coating, and a scratch-resistant surface. Clear lenses, no tint, no colour distortion. They look like regular glasses because they are — just with protection built in.

Two styles. One purpose. Designed to be worn every day, all day, without thinking about them.

What Comes Next

Nisalume is at the start of something. New styles are in development. The community we are building — people who take their daily habits seriously without taking themselves too seriously — is the foundation everything else gets built on.

If you are reading this, you are part of it early. We think that means something.
